All Is Quiet In This House

This is actually one of my favorite times of the day.  When the house settles down to sleep and all is quiet.  It's so peaceful.  I love it.  Tomorrow I get to go to a meeting with the owner of a massage therapy spa in downtown Rochester.  I am trying to manifest a successful talk that will allow me to work with them.  To have a space here would be so nice.  I am okay working part or full time there.  I still planning on being in Hudson, WI 2 times a month and if part time at the spa still working at the co-op.  But we will see what the universe has in store for me come tomorrow.

In other news I am working on getting ready for my class on Monday. Oct, 15th.  I am calling it Essential Meds: Cold and Flu defense.  I think now is a great time to go over natural ways to keep you and your family healthy this year.  I love talking to people about natural health so I think it will be fun.  I can't wait to see how many people RSVP by Friday.

Let's end this little rant with a positive affirmation for good health:
I am whole and healthy. Every cell in my body is filled with light and radiant health. I release all sickness and imbalance in my body and am now filled with the deep healing energy of God.  I give thanks that this healing energy that flows through me, rebuilds and restores me to perfect health right now.

Blessings,
Rev. Amber K

Healing: Life

Life has been amazing since the last time I wrote.  The hubby came home for the weekend (which is always exciting since he's away for school the rest of the week), I got my Reiki 1 attunement, and I am finding myself so at peace.

It's amazing when everything starts coming together.  My massage table came in on the day I went to get my Reiki 1 attunement so I could start practicing right away.  I got some great tips and pointers from Amber, my master teacher on how to help people and make this my own.  My hubby has been super supportive which just tops everything off.  It's amazing to be completely happy.  I don't think many people are but right now I honestly cannot complain about anything.

In other news I am looking for people to practice on.  So if you are interested in a free session let me know.  It takes about an hour and I use both aromatherapy and reiki together to give you the ultimate experience.  I am hoping by the end of next month I can get my next attunement and then really focus on getting Ki Wellness up and running.  I am going to look through some more SBA stuff this week and figure out what's what.  Why do they have to make it so confusing?

Anyways, that is all I really have to report today.  I haven't done much else.  I better pick up the house though because right now it's a disaster!  Happy Sunday!

Reiki

Reiki is something I am passionate about.  It is something I feel called to do.  Many people do not know what it is or what it consists of.  This website has a great FAQ about reiki.

So what is my goal in all of this?  Well I want to incorporate aromatherapy and reiki together to provide a wonderful healing experience for those open to it.  Unlike massage, the client does not get undressed except to take off their shoes.  We use a light touch is specific areas to help align the energy in the body.  Most people feel supreme relaxation that helps assist the body in healing itself.  Many times it's used in conjunction with other therapies.  I love helping people and I fully believe that God has pointed me to this path and that this is the way I am meant to help people.

Aromatherapy to me is something I have really gotten into the past couple of years.  Scents can help our bodies in multiple ways whether internally, aromatically, or on the skin.  I just became a Young Living Distributor (I <3 this company!) and cannot wait to learn more from Jen Nordin as she is my guru.  It's my personal belief that when I combine these two things together my clients will have a wonderful experience.  That will aid them in ways they never thought possible.  My heart is so full with the possibilities!

Sick and Thinking

I have a head cold.  My husband can tell you I am not taking being sick well at all.  I haven't been sick in at least over a year since I started eating more raw.  Luckily, I had most of yesterday and all of today off from work.  Though I had planned on getting a bunch of things done today right now I am sitting on the couch writing this blog post.  There are times you just have to listen to your body and mine is saying I need a break.  I am listening to it even though my mind is telling me all the things I could be getting done.

I believe this all came around to give me time to really reflect on my life and where it is heading.  I've done a lot of thinking/planning/wishing lately.  I've been doing a lot of thinking of what I really want to do in life.  Jen and I had a wonderful talk last night when I saw her for a massage.  Right now I have a job, one I happen to be really good at and enjoy but not necessarily something I want to do for the rest of my life.  What do I really want to do?  I want a Reiki practice that incorporates aromatherapy to provide  powerful wellness management for those seeking it.  To do this I am getting my Reiki attunements, well at least the 1st one now and hopefully the 2nd one in the near future with the 3rd not too far off in the future.  I am trying to take all of Jen's aromatherapy classes with the hope that soon I'll be able to become a Young Living distributor.

If you follow this blog you know that I am a big proponent of essential oils and healthy living.  I want to be able to teach others who are interested how to follow this way of life.  I am so excited that I am actually getting started with all of this.  This is something more than a passing fancy, this is something I feel called to do.  My ultimate goal is to eventually open a practice.  I need to learn up though in how to start a business (right now all I really have is a hobby with Soapy Joes) and how to manage all of that.  I would love to offer sessions on Friday afternoons and maybe all day Saturdays and if it gets bigger, how exciting that would be.  I cannot wait for it all to come into place and I think it will.

Life: It's Testing Day

well in about an hour I will be on my way to go take my Paraoptometric Test.  I haven't had to take a big important test in a really long time.  I feel ready though.  I've been in the optical field for 6 years now so many of the items that will be on the test I am already familiar with.  You might be wondering what a Paraoptometric is.

Depending upon experience, paraoptometrics perform a
variety of duties such as front desk procedures, billing and
coding of insurance claims, and patient scheduling. Under the
supervision of their employing optometrist, paraoptometrics may
also perform more clinical duties such as pre-testing patients,
contact lens procedures, and ophthalmic optics and dispensing

Update:  I passed my test!  Wahoo!
