Superfood Breakfast

Lately I have been obsessed with eating what I would call a superfood breakfast. It's so easy to make I don't know why I didn't think of it earlier.  What I love about this recipe (and don't worry I will share it with all of you!) is that you can customize it with whatever you have.  For example my Young Living Ningxia Wolfberries came in the mail yesterday so I can now add them in this breakfast and it's going to be yummy.  Ningxia wolfberries are powerful antioxidants and provide an array of nutrients and protein as one of nature's most nutritious fruits. Slightly tart in flavor, add Young Living's whole dried Ningixa wolfberries to baked goods, cereal, salad, trail mix and more.  These will definitely be on my order again.   Anywho... let's get to the recipe shall we?

Ingredients
1/2 Cup Cooked Quinoa
1 Tbsp Almonds
1 Tbsp Dried Currents
1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract (Optional)
1 Tbsp Hemp Hearts
1 Tbsp Chia Seeds
~ 1/4 to 1/3 Cup Nut Milk (I used Flax Milk)

Add everything to your bowl and give it a good stir.  Let sit for a minute or two and then you are ready to eat.  Feel free to substitute or change any of the ingredients to your taste.  Enjoy!

Intro to Young Living

Hello all my lovely readers... yes I know, I am still a bad blogger.  I know in my last post I said I was going to blog more often and then haven't.  My only excuse is that I have a lot of things in the works.  I am working on some classes that people can download and watch any time.  I have been working on finding a space to do Reiki (fingers still crossed that Mary calls me back), and I have been working somewhat weird hours for me.  Those are my excuses and deal with it! ;)  Today I am uploading an Intro to Young Living presentation I did.  I think it glances over all the things people want to know in an under 20 minute presentation.  If you are interested in ordering directly through the company after you watch the presentation please go to www.youngliving.com  click on your country, then in the right hand corner choose member sign up.  My number is 1310759 which you will need no matter what option you choose.

EO Spotlight: Lemon

Happy Monday folks!  Today I bring to you the next oil in the Everyday Oil collection, Lemon.  This awesome oil is one of my favorites to add to water.  Let's learn a little more about it, shall we?
Lemon (Citrus Limon)
Botanical Family: Rutaceae (Citrus)
Plant Origin: California, Italy
Extraction Method: Cold pressed from rind.  It takes 3,000 lemons to produce 1 kilo of oil
Historical Data:  Research by Jean Valnet, MD showed that vaporized lemon oil can kill meningococcus bacteria in 15 minutes, typhoid bacilli in one hour, staphylococcus aureus in two hours, and Pneumoncoccus bacteria within 3 hours.  Even a 0.2% solution of lemon oils can kill diptheria bacteria in 20 minutes and inactivate tuberculosis bacteria.  Lemon oils has been widely used in skin care to cleanse skin and reduce wrinkles and combat acne.  Lemon has shown to have antidepressant effects in research done by Komori, et al., 1995.
Medicinal Properties: Antitumoral, antiseptic, improves microcirculation, and immune stimulant (increases white blood cell count), improves memory, relaxation.  Rich in limonene, which has been extensively studied in over 50 clinical studies for its ability to combat tumor growth.
Uses: Circulatory problems, arteriosclerosis, obesity, parasites, urinary tract infections, vericose veins, anxiety, hypertension, digestive problems, acne
Fragrant Influences:  It promotes clarity of thought and purpose with a fragrance that is invigorating, enhancing and warming.  University researchers in Japan found that diffusing certain aromas in an office environment dramatically improves mental accuracy and concentration.  Diffused lemon resulted in 54% fewer errors, jasmine 33% fewer errors, and lavender 20% fewer errors.  When aromas were diffused during test taking, scores increased by as much as 50%.  A 1995 Mie University study found that citrus fragrances bossed immunity, induced relaxation, and reduced depression.

  2. Apply on chakras and/or Vita Flex Points

EO Spotlight: Frankincese

Hello my lovely readers.  I must apologize for being so inattentive of late.  To say life has been crazy would be an understatement at this point in time.  We are in the process of moving to a new city.  This involves getting our home ready to rent, us packed up for moving, things put together for our garage sale, etc.  My hubby gets to move before I do and I am not looking forward to that at all.  Today we are going to talk about the next oil in the Everyday Oils Kit, Frankincense.  This is one of my most favorite oils in the whole world.  I hope you enjoy learning all about it!

Frankincense
Botanical Family: Birseraceae (Frankincense)
Plant Origin: Somalia
Extraction Method: Steam distilled from gum/resin
Historical Data: Also known as "olibanum" the name frankincense is derived from the Medieval French word for "real incense."  This oil is considered a "holy anointing oil" in the Middle East and has been used in religious ceremonies for thousands of years.  "Used to treat every conceivable ill known to man," frankincense was valued more than gold during ancient times, and only those with great wealth and abundance possessed it.  It is mentioned in one of the oldest known medical records, Ebers Papyrus (dating from 16th century B.C.), an ancient Egyptian list of 877 prescriptions and recipes.
Medical Properties: Antitumoral, immunostimulant, immune-stimulating
Fragrant Influences: Increases spiritual awareness, promotes meditation, improves attitude, and uplifts spirits.
Application:
1. Apply 2-4 drops on location
2. Apply to Chakras and/or Vita Flex points
3. Inhale directly
4. Diffuse
5. Dilute 1 drop of oil in 4 drops of V-6 or olive oil and put into capsule.

Interested in getting the Everyday Oils Kit?  You can by clicking here to sign up for an account use member #1310759
The kit is $150.00 either as a distributor or as a customer.
Want just Frankincense?
A 15ml bottle is $91.78 (a 15 ml bottle has roughly 250 drops inside) retail or $69.75 for distributors.  This oil is one reason why the Everyday Oils Kit is so awesome.  You can try this amazing oil without having to commit to such a big purchase.

What is the difference of a distributor and customer?  Purchasing the kit as a distributor opens a wholesale account with Young Living.  This gives you 24% off any additional purchases as long as you order $50.00 per year.  You are not required to sell anything.

A customer pays retail pricing but will get special emails with each months deals and news.

Smoking Cessation: Cost

I've had some people who read the smoking cessation post ask how much this program would cost.  That is a very good question that is kind of hard to answer for the reason that you are picking a few oils out of a list.  I decided to choose these ones because they come in the Everyday Oils Kit.

If you purchase the Everyday Oils Enrollment kit ($150.00) you will get the following:
2 Lavender, 2 Peppermint, Lemon, Thieves, Frankincense, Valor, PanAway, Peace & Calming, Purification, 3 NingXia Red samples plus informational booklets and a $40.00 dollar off coupon for a diffuser (separate order).  If you order the diffuser you get Citrus Fresh and Lavender Essential Oils

So, if you ordered the enrollment kit plus ICP, ComforTone, Essentialzyme, JuvaTone, JuvaSpice, and a diffuser you would pay ~$335.75

If you ordered Thieves, Peppermint, Peace & Calming, ICP, ComforTone, Essentialzyme, JuvaTone, JuvaSpice, and a Diffuser as a Customer you would pay ~$407.90

That's a savings $72.15 plus you are getting 8 more oils as an Independent Distributor than if you paid for just the oils/suppliments in the Smoking Cessation Protocol.  If you are interested in ordering oils to help you stop smoking either as an independent distributor or as a customer don't hesitate!  Today is the day to create a healthier you!  If you are interested in ordering go to www.youngliving.com click on member sign up.  You will need to use a member number.  Type in 1310759, fill out your information, and you are good to go.  If you have questions don't hesitate to contact me through comments, email, facebook, or call me at 612-501-8940.

Helping create a healthier you,
Amber

Smoking Cessation

I recently was asked a way to use essential oils to help stop smoking.  This is what the Essential Oil Desk Reference suggests.  I would like to add that Reiki can help as well by decreasing stress which is often a trigger for those who smoke.

Recommendations
Singles: Cinnamon, Clove, Nutmeg, Peppermint, Roman Chamomile, Clary Sage, Orange, Oregano, Tarragon
Blends: Thieves, Harmony, Juva Cleanse, Peace & Calming, GLF
Supplements: ICP, ComforTone, Essentialzyme, Life 5, JuvaTone, JuvaPower, JuvaSpice

Applications and Usage
Inhale the oils that work best for you whenever the urge for a cigarette arises (can be inhaled directly from bottle)

Diffuse oils for 30 minutes, 4-5 times a day as needed

Place a warm compress with 1-2 drops of chosen oil over the liver

Ingestion and Oral
Cleanse colon and liver with ICP, ComforTone, Essentialzyme, and JuvaTone

Put 1 drop of Thieves on the tongue every time you have the urge to smoke

JuvaTone, JuvaPower, and JuvaSpice (For salads and cooking) detoxify the liver, which in turn help reduce cravings for nicotine and caffeine.  Take 3 tablets of JuvaTone 3 times daily and 2 Tbsp of JuvaPower or JuvaSpice daily.

Call me if you have questions about any of the products listed or this protocol.  If you would like to order go to Young Living and register to become either a customer or distributor.  You will need to use YL # 1310759.  Remember:
  • Customers pay full retail pricing, but will receive e-mails about monthly promotions and product news
  • An Independent Distributor gets wholesale pricing (24% off retail) but must include an enrollment kit (basic is $40.00 premium is $150) to open your wholesale account.  This is a 1 time fee and as long as you order $50.00 per year you are good to go.  You will also get $40.00 off a diffuser coupon with your first order.
The highlighted oils are in the Everyday Oils Enrollment Kit.

Blessings,
Amber
